I’m Derenda, a Certified Holistic Health Coach, and, I know there’s so much confusing advice out there about how to lose weight and look great for the fall.

I know what it’s like to try every diet that’s out there, including detoxes that limit what I can eat to just a few items or force me to drink nothing but liquids for days. That might work for some people, and I do believe there is a time to hunker down and do some deep work, but I also know that doing a short 5 day whole foods detox seasonally is a powerful way to get on track.

 

In my late 20’s I found myself struggling with no energy, and a stress level that had me reaching for the proverbial cookie jar far too often. I learned that that habit created some very unwelcome consequences, like extra weight, low energy, moodiness and a general feeling of Blah! Anyone relate? When I was pregnant with my third child, my doctor, who had no answer for my lack of energy and exhaustion, sent me to a nutritionist who really opened my eyes to the power of food. I was hooked! I could not believe that by simply changing the foods I ate would make such a huge difference in how I felt. I had already been working in the holistic health field, but I really began to study and incorporate healthy diet and lifestyle into my existing practice. Now I have been helping people improve their health using natural means for more than 35 years, and I have learned a few things along the way. I believe in eating well, and enjoying food, I hope I can share it with you!I
